200-hour vs 300-hour TTC

what’s the difference?

The 300-hour teacher training course moves towards more subtle dimensions, guiding practitioners to refine their understanding of asana and its principles, which serve as tools for aligning the physical body with the physicality of existence. As the practice progresses, these principles become more subtle, requiring deeper stillness, awareness, and constant Self-reflection. The asana series (postures) in this training challenge the presence, as they are more complex. Pranayama and meditation techniques in this training become more subtle, and require deeper stillness. These techniques are more nuanced, implying a deeper level of practice and awareness. Participants learn new practices that help them evolve into greater subtlety and awareness.

Additionally, this 300-hour teacher training course is a hybrid programme that combines both in-person and online modules. There is an option to complete it at the ashram by extending the stay for 10 days. This module is designed to help students integrate the teachings from the 21-day training and apply yoga to their daily lives, a key and often challenging aspect that many students struggle with when faced with the realities of everyday life. Regular practice creates the shift toward living a more yogic way of life, where everything begins to align. The online module of the training also supports this transformation, offering continuous guidance and encouragement.

HUI LING

SINGAPORE

Today, I have completed my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Gita in South India. The campus is really beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it feels like a very positive energy when I first arrived at this place. It was a very beautiful journey. I have learned a lot, and it has brought a deeper understanding of what yoga practice is all about. It’s really about going inward, that journey, that transformation. So, the practice and learning have given me the necessary tools to continue learning and share it with people. It has been an amazing learning journey, and I really appreciate that I am here for this training. Thank you.

Yoga Gita has brought a true approach to Yoga and how it should be conveyed to the public. The approach by Vijay and the team has shown there is more to Yoga than just the postures. I am glad to have had the opportunity to attend this retreat and how it changed my way of thinking and approaching Yoga, as well as everyday life.

FAQ

Your Questions Answered

What are the pain points that this program solves?

Lack of the various aspects and understandings of the subject: participants often struggle with a limited grasp of yoga’s deeper principles, which can hinder their practice and teaching, but most importantly, can misdirect their lives

Misapplication of techniques: many practitioners practice on superficial aspects like perfecting postures, leading to physical, mental, and emotional barriers, rather than genuine growth

Health: a disconnection from yoga’s essence can negatively affect physical health and emotional well-being, leaving practitioners feeling unfulfilled

World situation of war and aggression: there is a direct connection between the prevalence of war, conflict, and pollution and the essence of individuals. Transforming oneself is the first step towards creating a better world.

Instability: Life presents many challenges that can pull people away from a centered and stable state of mind. Once you understand your true essence, you become less affected by external circumstances. Life transforms into a game, where all experiences flow like a river of expression.

Lack of inspiration and purpose: many yoga teachers and practitioners feel uninspired, struggling to find creativity and purpose in their teaching and practice

Stressful Life: a proper practice can completely and utterly eliminate stress and fear from anyone’s life

Difficulty in establishing a holistic practice: without proper guidance, practitioners may find it challenging to effectively integrate yoga into their daily lives

Challenges in developing a Self-practice: establishing and maintaining a consistent Self-practice can be difficult without proper tools and guidance

This program aims to bridge these gaps by offering a thorough understanding of Yoga’s philosophical foundations and practical applications, supporting personal and collective growth.
